Chittagong University classes, exams to resume on October 19
Libraries and dormitories to be open to students on the 16th of October
The Chittagong University authorities have decided to resume classes and exams on the campus starting on the 19th of October in the event that students are able to take at minimum one dose of Covid-19 vaccine prior to the start of classes.
In a statement on Sunday the Acting Registrar SM Monirul Hasan said that the academic activities for all batches will begin from the 19th of October. Students should adhere to strict hygiene rules in their classes as well as on campus.
At a conference, the authorities agreed to open all libraries and residential halls on the 16th of October.
It will resume service on the following day. Two trains will depart the port city to on campus between 8am and 9am each day. They will leave the campus at 1:30 pm and 22:30pm.
However, classes and tests will be in session during the admissions tests scheduled between October 27 and November 5," the acting registrar announced.
In the past the university administration had to suspend all classes and exams on March 18 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
